FAQs
Booking & Scheduling / Home Prep
Q: How do I book a photoshoot?
You can book online via the pink button above for real-time availability, or call, text, or email me directly. office@fnphotoco.com | 410-428-7739
Q: Plans changed and I need to reschedule — how do I do that?
You can reschedule, pause, or cancel your shoot online as long as it is more than 12 hours from your confirmed appointment. If your shoot is less than 12 hours away, call or email me and I will work with you to find a new time.
Q: Do you charge a cancellation fee?
Yes, for no-shows, not-readys, or if access information is incomplete or invalid. If a cancellation fee is necessary, $75 will be charged to your card on file.
Q: Do I need to be present during the shoot?
It is up to you. Many Anchorage agents provide access via door codes or lockboxes, while others meet me on-site. I enjoy a quick walkthrough to connect and see the property before shooting, but being present is not required.
Q: Will the photographer move things to create a better photo?
I will handle small adjustments like fluffing pillows, hiding trashcans, or straightening picture frames. Please do not ask me to move furniture, boxes, firearms, or valuables. I am not a stager, and liability is a concern. Shoot schedules assume homes are fully prepared and photo-ready, so to get the most out of your session please complete the prep list before my arrival.
Q: How should I prepare my home for photography?
Ensure the property is tidy and staged according to the prep checklist before the shoot. Open blinds, turn on lights, and remove personal items and clutter. This allows me to focus fully on capturing the best photos and ensures the shoot stays on schedule.
Q: What if the home is not ready when you arrive?
If significant prep work is needed upon arrival, the shoot may need to be rescheduled and a cancellation fee may apply. It is at my discretion whether to stay past the scheduled appointment time, as appointments must stay on track to accommodate subsequent bookings.
Turnaround & Delivery
Q: What is your turnaround time?
Photos are delivered by 6 PM the following business day to clients across the Anchorage area. Drone, video, or Matterport products may take up to 48 hours, though that is rare.
Q: I need photos today! Can I get same-day delivery?
Yes! Rush photo delivery is available for $100, with delivery by 8 PM. Rush processing does not apply to 3D Matterport products, drone video, or floorplan products.
Q: How will I receive the images?
All marketing materials are delivered via the Far North Photo Co portal with email notification. You can pay your invoice, download all photos, floorplans, and videos, and create social media reels or print flyers directly from the portal.
Q: When do I pay for services?
Payment is due upon delivery. You will not be able to access your media library until payment is made.
Q: Can I request edits or touch-ups?
Absolutely. Minor edits like color correction, blue sky replacement, or small blemishes are included. Major edits like adding fire, sod, or other significant alterations may incur an additional fee. All requested edits must maintain truthful representation of the property.
Services & Packages
Q: What types of properties do you photograph?
All of them. Homes, condos, cabins, commercial properties, new construction, vacation rentals, luxury listings, and interior design projects across Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer, Wasilla, and greater Alaska.
Q: Do you offer drone photography?
Yes! I provide aerial photos and drone videos when unrestricted airspace is available. I am an FAA certified Part 107 drone pilot.
Q: What’s the difference between Floorplans and Matterport products?
Cubicasa Floorplans are virtually generated 2D replications of the property. They are cost-effective, easy to create, and can include exterior patios and walkways. A simple floorplan is included free with every shoot, with upgrades available.
Matterport Products are more technical and ideal for builders or detailed documentation. The Matterport 3D walkthrough scan provides a digital twin dollhouse experience, great for marketing to out-of-town buyers or properties with a unique layout.
Q: What is included in a typical shoot?
You can purchase media à la carte or choose a package that may include drone products, twilight photos, floorplans, Matterport scans, and a fully customizable Marketing Kit. Appointments times are dependent on the products ordered.
Q: I don’t see a package that fits my needs — what can we do?
I am happy to create a custom marketing package tailored to your team or client’s needs. Feedback is always welcome to help me improve my services.
Q: Are there extra fees for travel?
Travel fees apply outside a 30-mile radius of Anchorage and are calculated at booking.
Q: Can you photograph remote properties?
Yes! I look forward to the adventure and am happy to travel anywhere in Alaska.
Q: Do you follow MLS photography standards?
Yes. All images and tours are MLS-compliant and optimized to make your Alaska listings look their best.
Q: Can I use your photos for social media and marketing?
Absolutely. All photos are licensed for use by you and your clients for listing promotion, social media, and print marketing for the life of the listing. For usage rights in perpetuity, order a Portfolio Upgrade or reach out to me directly. A photo credit or tag (@FarNorthPhotoCo) is always appreciated when sharing. Thank you for supporting a small local Anchorage business!
